Laugfs Leisure gets new CEO

Laugfs recently announced the appointment of Roshan Perera as the new Chief Executive Officer of Laugfs Leisure Ltd with effect from 24 August 2015.

Roshan comes with over 25 years of extensive experience in the Leisure sector, having also served at several international and local hotel chains.

A SLIM-BUCKS Alumni, Roshan is also an Associate of the Cornell Hotel Society (USA) and the Ceylon Hotel School Graduates Association (Sri Lanka). He is also a Fellow of The Institute of Hospitality (UK) and is a former Chairman of its Sri Lanka Chapter.

He has further served as a former President of Kandy & Kalutara Hoteliers Associations and is a life member of the Organisation of Professional Associations (OPA) Sri Lanka. Roshan is also a member of The Rotary Club of Kandy and a Paul Harris Fellow, having contributed to the Club for over 20 years.

During the past 25 years Roshan has worked with Intercontinental & Taj Hotels in Colombo and Thilanka Hotels in Kandy, and has also been part of the senior management team of Union Resorts Ltd.’s The Blue Water, Wadduwa during the past 12 years.

Launched in 2014, Anantaya Resorts and Spa, Chilaw was the first luxury beach resort of Laugfs Leisure Ltd, the leisure arm of Laugfs Holdings. Nestled between the Indian Ocean and Chilaw Lagoon, it holds 87 spacious rooms, with each room offering a breathtaking view of both the ocean and lagoon. The construction of Anantaya – Passekudah, the second luxury hotel of Laugfs with 52 rooms, is expected to complete end this year.
