Aerospace Turbine Services & Solutions LLC (TS&S Aerospace), a leading maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider for aircraft engines in the Middle East, has been selected by SriLankan Airlines to service the Trent 700 engine.
TS&S Aerospace is the first independent aviation provider to overhaul a Trent 700 engine, offering SriLankan Airlines a bespoke shop visit structure minimizing expense and ensuring compliance with lessor requirements.
Currently the only independent Trent 700 MRO facility worldwide, TS&S Aerospace works in partnership with major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) including Rolls-Royce, GE Aviation and International Aero Engines and provides a variety of engine maintenance services across multiple major platforms, including Airbus, Boeing and other light aircraft.
As part of its business strategy, TS&S Aerospace works closely with both airlines and lessors and has stayed an independent service provider delivering tailored solutions for the industry.
Commenting on the announcement, TS&S Aerospace CEO Abdul Khaliq Saeed said, “The signing of the contract with SriLankan Airlines signifies a landmark milestone for TS&S Aerospace. SriLankan Airlines CEO Captain Suren Ratwatte said, “SriLankan Airlines awarded this contract to Aerospace Turbine Services & Solutions LLC after careful consideration of its capabilities as an MRO, turnaround time and cost, which we feel matches our requirements best. We are confident that this will be a win-win situation for both parties and look forward to a mutually fruitful relationship.”
