Former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen has filed a Fundamental Rights petition in the Supreme Court seeking an interim order preventing CID from arresting him in connection with Easter Sunday attack.

The petitioner has cited Acting IGP, CID director, OIC of CID Special Investigation Unit (3), Attorney General and several others as respondents.

Rishad Bathiudeen stated that he may be arrested on false or fabricated charges although there is no material to suspect or reasonably believe that he has committed any offence.

If substantial evidence found against any citizen refering to a crime he can be arrested, the courts have no legal rights to prevent. All this rubbish happens only in Sri Lanka because, it's a banana country. The whole judiciary is poisoned by few super rich very sad.
