Exchanges were even at the end of the first day’s play in the Under-19 Inter-Schools Cricket Tournament encounter between Kingswood College and St. Peter’s College, Negombo which began at Gampola yesterday. 


Kingswood taking first lease of the wicket made a modest 191 runs in their first innings and St. Peter’s in reply ended the day at 107 for four. 
Kingswood: 191 (Mahesan Ranasinghe 67, K. Kevin 27, Vinuka Pussapitiya 23, Anul Seneviratne 22, Chanuka Nimesh 3/30, Dineth Sathsara 3/72)
St. Peter’s: 107/4 (Pasindu Navod 37, Gayan Julius 33 n.o, Dumindu Thanushka 2/33).
