Trinity College regained the Milo Inter-Schools Under-14, 10-A-Side Rugby Title when they defeated Isipathana College 10-5 during extra time in a thrilling Cup Championship final encounter played at the Royal College Sports Complex in Reid Avenue today (01).
In fact, the Cup Championship final ended in a 5-5 draw at the completion of the initial 14 minutes of play.
Isipathana took the lead at half time with a superb try from I. K. Tharusha before Trinity equalised in the second half through an unconverted try from U. S. Gammudali.
However, Trinity had the final laugh and added the finishing touches in style with Y. N. Ariyawansa scoring the match winning try in the last minute of extra time following a neat pass from Anuhas Kodithuwakku.
