Singha SC cruise to easy win

Half centuries by Pradeep de Silva and Dilshan Kanchana and a four-wicket haul by Dinuka Dilshan helped Singha SC, Ambalangoda coast to a 52-run win over Gesto CC in their Governor’s Trophy Inter-Club Cricket Tournament match played at Karandeniya yesterday. 


At Karandeniya (Singha SC won by 52 runs)
Singha SC: 286 in 49.1 overs (Pradeep de Silva 74, Dilshan Kanchana 53, Rishan Kavinda 37, Tharuka Gimhana 37 n.o, Shehan Hansaka 5/51)
Gesto CC: 234 in 44.1 overs (Dinesh Perera 61, Romesh Mendis 50, Dinuka Dilshan 4/24).
At Katuneriya (Kurunegala SC won by 136 runs)
Kurunegala SC: 280/9 in 50 overs (Shasheen Dilranga 55, Yohan Suresh 53, Rukshan Fernando 33, Lahiru Silva 32)
Narammala SC: 144 in 37.2 overs (Akila Lakshan 57, Madura Madusanka 3/18, Yohan Soysa 3/19).
At Maggona (Crusaders CC won by five wickets)
Rio SC: 152 in 48 overs (Thamith de Silva 35, Lahiru Indika 30)
Crusaders CC: 154/5 in 34.3 overs (Tharindu Siriwardena 43).
At Pannipitiya (Old Dharmapalins SC won by one wicket)
Leo CC: 129 in 38.2 overs (Shohan Rangika 40, Primosh Obri 30, Nishan Perera 5/7, Ravindu Lakshan 3/27)
Old Dharmapalians SC: 130/9 in 36.2 overs (Kesara Lakshan 3/34, Shohan Rangika 3/37).
