Lumbini MV who suffered a close 22-26 defeat to Ananda in the semi-final encounter has been elevated and will meet Thurstan College in the Premier Trophy Knock-Out Rugby Tournament final scheduled to be played on July 19 at the Royal College Sports Complex in Reid Avenue.
This decision was taken by the Disciplinary Committee of the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association (SLSRFA) after they received a complaint against Ananda who had fielded a player who had failed the GCE Ordinary Level examination on two occasions. An official of the SLSRFA said that further action will be taken against Ananda after the completion of the knock-out final.
