A fine century by Lasith Croospulle helped Chilaw Marians CC end day one in a strong position in their SLC Emerging Trophy Cricket Tournament quarter-final match against the NCC which began at the Colts Grounds yesterday.
Chilaw Marians CC made a formidable 323 runs in their first innings and NCC in reply were struggling at 41 for three.
Meanwhile, Colts CC dominated proceedings against Air Force SC at the BRC Grounds while Tamil Union were in command against the SSC at the FTZ Grounds in Katunayake.
