Emerging Trophy Cricket Tourney Lasith guides Chilaw Marians CC

A fine century by Lasith Croospulle helped Chilaw Marians CC end day one in a strong position in their SLC Emerging Trophy Cricket Tournament quarter-final match against the NCC which began at the Colts Grounds yesterday.

Chilaw Marians CC made a formidable 323 runs in their first innings and NCC in reply were struggling at 41 for three.

Meanwhile, Colts CC dominated proceedings against Air Force SC at the BRC Grounds while Tamil Union were in command against the SSC at the FTZ Grounds in Katunayake. 



At Colts Grounds 

Chilaw Marians CC: 323 (Lasith Croospulle 134, Risith Upamal 56, Dilshan Sanjeewa 55, Lasith Embuldeniya 4/86, Ravindu Fernando 3/88)
NCC: 41/3.

At BRC Grounds 

Air Force SC: 104 (Shabiq Ifthary 47, Praveen Jayawickrama 5/30, Maheesh Theekshana 2/7, Nipun Malinga 2/16)
Colts CC: 259/4 (Avishka Fernando 120, Santhush Gunatileke 39, Heshan Dhanushka 47 n.o, Vishad Randika 35 n.o, Suminda Lakshan 3/105).

At Katunayake 

SSC: 121 (Sohan de Livera 28, Krishan Sanjula 22, Pasindu Sooriyabandara 21, Supun Kavinda 4/22, Damitha Silva 4/31, Supun Waragoda 2/20) and 19/1
