Dinoshan’s 98 rescues St. John’s

Theivendram Dinoshan hit a splendid 98 to rescue St. John’s College, Jaffna on day one of the 113th Battle of the North Big Match against Jaffna Central which commenced at the Central Grounds in Jaffna.
 
Dinoshan came to the crease when St. John’s were struggling at 52 for five in their first innings. 
 
But he single handedly took the responsibility on his shoulders and made a valuable 98 which included 11 boundaries and two sixes.
 
St. John’s ended their innings with a respectable score of 182 runs.
 
K. Iyalarasan ended with a five-wicket haul while V. Viyaskanth bagged three scalps.
 
Jaffna Central in their turn ended day one at 60 for two with Dinoshan bagging both wickets.
