The Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Major Club League Tournament will resume on August 10, after its stakeholders approved two changes to the tournament rules on Tuesday.
Given the impact of COVID-19 on several of the participating clubs, SLC had sought the approval of its general membership for two resolutions that would be in effect for the 2019/20 season.
The two resolutions were to reduce the duration of the Tier A Super Eight stage matches from four days to three days, and the suspension of the promotion and relegation provisions that are a part of the tournament rules.
