Anika Seneviratne retained the Women’s Open singles title at the Clay courts Tennis Nationals when she recorded a convincing 6-0, 6-3 win over Janali Manamperi in the final played at the SLTA Courts in Green Path yesterday.
Anika also went on to bag a double as she partnered with her sister Alana to beat the defending champions Janali Manamperi and Savini Jayasuriya 6-2, 6-0 in the Women’s Open doubles final.
Meanwhile, Chathurya Nilaweera beat Luca Knese 6-0, 3-0 (rtd) in the Boys’ Under-18 final.

Boys’ Under-19 singles – Chathurya Nilaweera beat Luca Knese 6-0, 3-0 (rtd).
Women’s Open singles – Anika Seneviratne beat Janali Manamperi 6-0, 6-3.
Women’s doubles – Anika Seneviratne/Alana Seneviratne beat Janali Manamperi/Savini Jayasuriya 6-2, 6-0.
