Sriyani Dress Point, a leader in the garments sector in Sri Lanka with over 2,500 employees, recently celebrated May Day at Nittawela Play Ground in Kandy with the participation of its workforce. The event saw the eager participation of the employees in many traditional New Year games as well as in an inter-branch cricket tournament. Many awards were also presented at the event including the Best Showroom, Best Showroom Manager and Best Employee felicitating employees for their outstanding performances. Another special feature of the programme is giving a new house worth Rs. 50 lakhs to an employee by the Director Board and the Chairman Mr. M. Selvaraj.
Sriyani Dress Point which was started with only one branch in Kegalle 25 years ago today boasts 7 branches in main cities including Kandy, Kurunegala and Matale. The Chairman of the company Mr. M. Selvaraj attributes their success to selling international quality garments at a price affordable to masses.
