SHRM Launches first of its kind HR Certification Program in Sri Lanka

SHRM, Society for Human Resource Management, the world’s largest association devoted to Human Resource Management, along with Association of Human Resource Professionals (HRP), Sri Lanka today announced the launch of the SHRM Certification program. This HR certification program would be a first of its kind, in Sri Lanka. The launch was attended by Ms. Achal Khanna, CEO, SHRM India, Ms. L. Chiranthi Cooray, President, HRP and a host of other senior HR leaders. The two new certifications, SHRM – Certified Professional (SHRM – CP) & SHRM – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM – SCP), will set new standards for HR professionals, and help them grow in their careers.

In a rapidly changing environment, HR professionals are becoming more prone to varied challenges in their workplace, than ever before. To deal with these challenges effectively, they need to be competent and well versed in the required skills and constantly upgrade their knowledge. Keeping the above in mind, SHRM has created a certification that is clearly focused on the competencies and knowledge, all HR professionals need, to lead in today’s business community.

During the launch, Ms. Achal Khanna, CEO, SHRM India, said, “We are delighted to partner with HRP in launching this first of its kind certification program in Sri Lanka.
