Out of the 14 teams that vied for the right to represent Sri Lanka at the Young Spikes competitions to be held in Singapore this year Tharanga Rathnasekara and Champika Anuradha from Mindshare will represent Sri Lanka as the winners of the local media competition. 3 teams each from Media & Integrated were selected as finalists and had the opportunity to present to the whole advertising industry on the 29th August, 2012 at The Agency “Show and Tell” held at the Lemon Restaurant.

"Announcing the winners, Lalith Sumanasiri – Head of Judging panel of the media competition mentioned that it was not an easy judgment for the Jury as all teams were competing closely.  Jury had a lengthy discussion and used three criteria to evaluate all the teams to select the winner.  Strength and Uniqueness of the Idea to inspire the target audience, Ability of the execution to reach the target and create the excitement using  the relevant effective mediums  and  how best the teams have utilized the strengths of the Maharaja media network as the client.  All these criteria were used to select the best team considering the nature of the international completion and the team ability to bring some honor to Sri Lanka"
