Delmege Forsyth and Co Ltd and Lion Australia Pty Ltd yesterday announced the appointment of Delmege Forsyth & Co Ltd as the exclusive distributor of ‘Berri' and ‘Just Juice' in Sri Lanka.

Berri consists of an outstanding delicious range of 100 percent natural fruit juices with a great variety of flavours such as apple, orange, dark grape, apple and black currant together with a host of other flavours. These are available in one litre and 2.4 litre clear PET bottles.

Berri has consistently retained its position in the Australian market as the number one juice brand. This position has been extended in different market segments through Berri and Just Juice. In most countries, Berri is regarded as a breakfast juice and has now become an integral part of the morning meal.

Berri has consistently been known for its unique product qualities of reliability, trustworthiness and its comprehensive acceptance by a cross section of the market.

Furthermore, in more recent times, the youth market has accepted Berri as an energetic brand that supplements its requirement.

Berri’s outstanding uninterrupted track record since 1943 as the brand leader in the juice category has significantly influenced the creation of an outstanding brand loyalty and brand image across the world.

The Australian origin, high quality product consistency, the unique and well-designed see through plastic bottle have been the key factors that have contributed to establishing this highly acclaimed 100 percent natural fruit juice brand.

Delmege Group Director Channa de Silva stated, “Delmege is a conglomerate with a rich history of over 150 years and a renowned name in the food and beverage sector in addition to its presence in other sectors such as medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, shipping and freight forwarding, interior and lifestyle products, along with insurance, travel and leisure and exports.”

The company’s presence in all key sectors positions Delmege as a rapidly growing conglomerate in the country. Its ownership structure led by Vallibel group is affiliated with fast expanding business and today represents 2.5 percent of the country’s GDP being accounted for through the group.
