It is based on the theme of time travel and the plot includes a time machine, operated by a scientist played by Shruti Hassan.  Suriya who plays multiple roles in the film, ranging from a handicapped circus artist to an aggressive monk, is the protagonist of the story, keeping the audience enthralled in his attempts to stop the time machine from falling into the hands of the villain.   The actor is also said to be doing his own stunts in the movie.
