David Pieris unveils new-generation Pulsar RS200 and AS150

Bajaj Pulsar, known for its performance, technology and design, is set to redefine Sri Lanka’s sports bike market with the launch of new-generation Pulsar motorcycles. Pulsar RS200: Performance biking machine
This much-awaited super sports bike belongs to the Race Sports genre and is designed for speed and performance. The world’s first Triple Spark 4-Valve DTS-i engine with fuel injection gives this bike 24.5 PS of power which is 40 percent more than that of other leading super sports bikes. The fuel injection system makes the engine extremely smooth and a cold start effortless.

Liquid cooling ensures low heating, consistent performance and engine sound over long drives and in heavy traffic. The sporty race exhaust, besides looking great, gives a distinctive deep sound while the six-speed gear box gives the best response across the rpm band.

The sharp muscular body gives the RS200 an aggressive look, ensuring that heads turn wherever it goes! The perimeter frame holds the bike strongly and tightly, helping it remain rock solid and fully under control as one takes sharp corners, weaves through traffic or overtakes another vehicle.

RS200 is the only super sports bike in its category with ABS, ensuring that the bike remains in control when brakes are applied while the rear Nitrox monoshock gives the best stability and control. The twin projector headlamps are not only good-looking but also light up every nook and corner of the road. All these features answer the need for control as well as safety.

Pulsar AS150: Machine made for adventure biking
Pulsar AS150 is designed to make everyday riding an adventure. Bajaj’s Twin Spark 4-Valve DTS-i engine gives 17 PS of thumping power, which makes it the most powerful 150cc bike. The engine is air-cooled and comes with a five-speed gear box.

One of the most stylish bikes in its class, Pulsar AS150 is equipped with projector headlamps, broad front and rear tubeless tyres and new-look alloy wheels. The aerodynamically designed half fairing and extended visor provides wind protection at high speeds while the unique underbelly exhaust not only sounds throaty but also provides better stability due to its low position.

The centrally placed Nitrox monoshock absorbers provide better balance, control and extra comfort in comparison to other monoshock bikes while good ergonomics and weight distribution ensure better handling, cornering and stability at higher speeds, making it the ideal partner on long rides.
