Amaya Resorts & Spas win International Hotel Awards

The prestigious International Hotel Awards organization honoured Amaya Resorts & Spas with two 5 star category awards at the awards ceremony held at The London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London recently.


Amaya Lake won a 5 star award in the category of ‘Best Hotel Renovation/ Refurbishment’ which was received by Srijith Gooneratne, General Manager of Amaya Lake.Hunas Falls by Amaya won the 5 star award in the category of ‘Best Sustainable Hotel for Sri Lanka in the Asia Pacific region’ and was received by Asela Wavita, General Manager of Hunas Falls by Amaya.

Developed to identify, highlight and reward excellence throughout the global hospitality industry, the International Hotel Awards seek the finest operations throughout a wide range of areas.

Managing Director of Amaya Resorts & Spas, Lalin Samarawickrama stated, “We are honoured to have represented our two resorts at such a prestigious event. Our General Managers have worked tirelessly to achieve perfection and that is what we have been rewarded with here today.”

President of the International Hotel Awards, Stuart Shield stated, “The fivestar standard has improved dramatically over the last few years and this indicates the levels of determination from t he world’s best hotels to deliver the ultimate in comfort and service.
