Remo Hotels & Resorts announces the new Turkish restaurant in Colombo 04

Colombo’s culinary offering will expand into new regions on the world from Thursday, with the opening of the Capital’s first Turkish restaurant.

Great Empires have created cuisines, and the fertile land and skills of farmers and fisherman of the Turkish empire have combined with the enthusiasm and abilities of its chefs and home cooks to produce fine, tasty dishes that have ensured a place for Turkish cuisine alongside French and Chinese as one of the three foremost examples of culinary art in the world.

The new restaurant — Ankara — will be inaugurated on Milagiriya Avenue in Colombo 4 this Thursday by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey HETunca Özçuhadar.

You can find a great variety of mouthwatering dishes in Turkish cuisine, which is mostly drawn from the heritage of the Ottomans. In Ankara  diners will discover a mixture and refinement of traditional fare that draws its inspiration from Central Asian, Middle Eastern and Balkan cuisines. It is impossible to fit Turkish cuisine into a short list, but an expansively trained team of highly trained chefs has drawn together a menu that will delight and surprise.

With a uniquely interior design, the 8,000sqft heritage house that Ankara occupies allows it to provide eight dining experiences from the Royal Service restaurant for up to 40 people, a café with 35 seat capacity, and banqueting facilities for up to 100 seat capacity. Ankara also boasts three different fully audio visual equipped private dining rooms for up to 35 seat capacity each, designed for private, personal, or business functions.

Ankaraoffers an upscale, yetcasual dining experience that celebrates the rich diversity of Turkish food and culture through a blend of classic and contemporary menu offerings and superb hospitality.
