3 workshops under the topic of “How to craft and winning entry for Brand Excellence” were organized by SLIM as part of this years SLIM Brand Excellence campaign
Mr. Graham Marshall, General Manager- Automotive Coatings, Akzo Nobel Paints Lankaand Mr. Nasser Majeed, the CEO of Softlogic Retail (Pvt) Ltd, who is also the head ofthis year’s judging panel, conducted the specific workshops for the corporate sector, while Mr. Gamika De Silva Chief Manager Marketing - Seylan Bank conducted the workshop for the SME sector.
The content of the workshops featured the correct structure of an application, the best of practices in preparing the application, Do’s and Don’t s etc.
“The purpose of these workshops is to encourage and inspire the campaign’s intended participants. We at SLIM feel that it is our duty to ensure that the participants of SLIM Brand Excellence have a clear idea of what is expected of them and the applications they send in” stated Mr. Pradeep Edward, the Vice President of SLIM.
The SLIM Brand Excellence campaign began on the 15th of June and is scheduled to end in November with a grand award ceremony at the BMICH.
As the national body of marketing, SLIM serves to produce initiatives inorder to encourage strategic and result-oriented thinking in the fieldsof brand development, sales, advertising and research.
Year after year SLIM Brand Excellence has continued to grow in scale and quality. Being the only awards campaign in the country, which recognizesthose brands and brand custodians that are excelling in the arena ofmarketing.
The Workshops were based on the tag line,“Excellence is an Obsession”, which served as a source of education for the participants.
