At the recently concluded Colombo Tea Auctions, Kirklees Estate had the proud distinction of achieving yet another all time Colombo auction record price of Rs.750 per kilogram for a BOPF Grade, in the Uda Pussellawa elevation category.
This line of tea was purchased by M/S Imperial Teas (Pvt.) Ltd. This Surpasses the previous record price of Rs.730 per kilogram established at the sale of 27th September 2017 by Kirklees Estate.
Kirklees Estate maintains a high standard of manufacture, focused on producing good quality teas which has attributed in achieving these results. The Estate comes under the stewardship of the superintendent Varuna Athauda who has been behind the success of Kirklees Estate.
Kirklees Estate comes under the management of RPC Management Services Ltd, of Richard Pieris group of Companies.
