The 1st day of the Ceylon T-Cup race flagged off from Pasikudah on Friday 07th of April 2017. Over 30 riders, including international and local cyclists gathered at Pasikudah for the start of the competitive three day racing event. The route for day one consists of Mahiyanganaya via Welikanda, Dimbulagala, Pallegama, Dehiattakandiya and Girandurukotte, which will cumulatively be a distance of over 140 km.
SriLankan Airlines is the co-sponsor of the Ceylon T-Cup with Lanka Sportreizen, the race was organised with the intention of projecting Sri Lanka as an international destination for sports and wellness.
