Restrictions on movement to and from Rajangana in Anuradhapura imposed recently would be lifted with effect from today (31) Anuradhapura Government Agent R.M.Wanninayaka said.
He said that health authorities had imposed restrictions on visits to the Rajangana area when 19 coronavirus infected individuals inducing a military officer and four members of his family were identified from the area. The last of them had been reported on July 20.
The GA said the Ministry of Health had informed him that no more patients had not been reported from the area since July 20 and instructed him to lift the restrictions on movement.
He said restrictions on movement to and from the Sirimapura and Ussana areas in Rajangana had been relaxed earlier and that the workers of government institutions in the Rajangana area had cast their postal vote on Wednesday (29).
