The business community in Polgahawela town volunteered to keep shops and boutiques closed even after the curfew was lifted.
President of the Trader Association Atula Kirthi Rajapakse said they decided to close all business establishments till May 04 excluding those providing essential services and the pharmacies till May 04 after identifying several COVID-19 infected patients from Polgahawela area.
Meanwhile, Polgahawela MOH Dr. T.D.N.Ariyapala and Alawwa MOH R.M.T.N Randunu said 26 individuals who had been associated with the infected naval ratings were subject to PCR tests.
