Cabinet paper to be presented today

Cabinet paper seeking approval to pay the relief aid of Rs.5,000 to the non-staff grade employees in the provincial administration is to be submitted today, Minister of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Local Government and Provincial Councils- Janaka Bandara Thennakoon said
He told the media yesterday in Yapagama in Dambulla that he intended to pay a fuel allowance of Rs.450 to the Grama Niladharies from March 15 to June 15, and to increase the acting duty allowance up to Rs.600. He said their communication allowance of Rs. 600 would be increased to Rs.1500 and the travelling allowance from Rs.400 to Rs.1200.
The Minister was in praise of the District Secretaries, Divisional Secretaries, the police and the security forces, all health sector officials, staff officers, Grama Niladharies and the heads of local authorities for their dedicated services rendered to the public.
