Following corporate, individual donations and direct deposits, the ‘ITUKAMA’ COVID-19 Healthcare and Social Security Fund balance has surpassed Rs.1,456 million, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said yesterday (09).
The PMD said the Fund’s balance has now reached Rs.1,456,865,619.45.
The Department of Excise has donated Rs.3,500,000 while Ms.Sithumi Sewwandi, Mr. K.G. Abeyawardana and Mrs.H.G.Pushpa have donated Rs. 5,000 each. The relevant cheques were presented to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat.
“Local, as well as foreign donors, have made their contributions to the Fund. Deposits can be made through cheques,telegraphic transfers,via www.itukama.lk or by dialling #207#.
