Three suspects who had stolen a set of bathroom fillings valued more than Rs.250,000 sold it for
Rs.20,000 to buy two packets of heroin and the woman who purchased the fittings were arrested by Dambulla
Police yesterday.
The suspects who burgled a house in Kandalama had dismantled and taken away the latest model of bath room fittings. During investigations Dambulla Police interrogated the three arrested suspects and on information arrested the woman who had purchased the stolen item for Rs.20,000.
The suspects were to be produced before Dambulla Magistrate last morning. OIC Crime Investigation Branch IP Wijekoon, SI Sampath Weerasinghe, Sergeants 6545 Herath, 12901 A.M.Upatissa, and PC 79865 Indunil Sampath had conducted investigations on the instructions of HQI Dambulla Police S. P. Edirisinghe.
