Defying directive, Mahaveerar Day celebrated at Jaffna Uni

Mahaveerar Day was celebrated at Jaffna  University despite a notice issued earlier by its Vice Chancellor Professor K. Kandasami that students should not mark the occasion on November 26 and 27 within the campus premises. 


It had warned legal action against students and deans of faculties if they were found involved in such celebration.
