All Island Professional Lecturers' Association had decided not to hold any tuition classes until March 27 in line with the Education Minister's decision to close schools until April 20 from tomorrow.

Addressing the media, a spokesman of the association said they would request all lecturers who are registered with them or not, to abide by this decision.

There are 4,500 members in the association except for the Northern Province.

This decision was taken as a measure to prevent parents of students from panicking over the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
