Spa Ceylon, the world’s largest luxury ayurveda chain, unveiled another of its uniquely themed lifestyle experiences at the fashionable Gandhara Street in Colombo 06, marking the milestone of reaching 62 branded locations internationally.

The experience store set in a tropical white villa features a luxury Spa Ceylon signature spa and a experiential concept store featuring the brand’s complete product offering, including the new gourmet teas and herbal infusions, a wellness wall of island balms, a palace art gift gallery, the Eau De Ceylon aroma bar, the luxury soap buffet, a home fragrance wall and a tropical resort wear boutique.

Bound to be another of their many popular urban oasis, this location conveniently located in the southern end of the city will specially cater to Spa Ceylon fans resident in Colombo 05 and 06 as well as residents of the city’s southern suburbs. It is a perfect location for an energising spa experience during the day, for de-stressing at the end of the workday or ideal for a relaxing weekend indulgence. The extended hours make it easily accessible for gift purchasing, treating visitors to a uniquely Ceylonese experience or pampering with the ones you love.

The new location features Spa Ceylon’s unique new ‘Palace Art Nail Bar’ experience - fusing traditional art with the latest in App technology. Guests pick their preferred hand and nail products adorned with Ceylonese palace art; the same floral designs can then be printed onto their nails to create high fashion looks that complement their tropical island getaway. Nail art aficionados may also create their own custom designs using the nail art App and then get them printed on their nails to complete that perfect manicure.

Having been awarded ‘World’s Best Luxury Ayurveda Spa’ operator at the World Luxury Spa Awards 2017, their spa on location offers an extended range of luxury ayurveda treatments, ayurveda facials, body scrubs and body polishes as well as waxing, nail and beauty services in Spa Ceylon’s signature style.

Every detail of each Spa Ceylon spa and spa ritual has been thoughtfully designed and detailed to perfection - to ensure guests receive a totally fulfilling and relaxing spa experience like no other. From organic cotton and ayurveda herb filled cushions and pillows; to old-fashioned wooden foot baths laden with pebbles, jasmines, wild lime and garden mint; to exotic massage balms richly blended with Ceylonese spices, virgin coconut and aromatic ginger; to refreshing organic herbal tea accompanied by traditional palm sweetener, served in custom-designed hand-made Spa Ceylon stoneware; to highly precise signature massage movements by the spa therapists, every element is detailed and designed to complement each other - making the luxurious Spa Ceylon experience uniquely different.

Continuing their rapid international expansion, the chain has just opened its first store in the Japanese city of Fukuoka, increasing their presence to a total of four locations in Japan.  The month of December of 2017 will see Spa Ceylon adding four more spa locations with openings in Saigon, Vietnam; BIA Colombo Airport; Chatham Street in the Old Colombo Fort and Lewis Place in Negombo. Selected signature spa services are also being introduced in Tokyo, Japan as part of the retail experience at the Spa Ceylon stores. New stand-alone boutiques are planned to open in Kuala Lumpur International Airport II in Malaysia, Downtown Nicosia in Cyprus, Saigon in Vietnam and also a further ‘wellness’ concept store in BIA Colombo Airport. In total, the next month will see more than eight new doors opening, growing the Spa Ceylon presence to more than 70 branded locations internationally.

With their products now approved for sale in the European Union, the brand is planning European roll-out in Italy and Eastern Europe next year, while further expanding their Asian footprint with new market openings in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and in other Asian existing markets, to reach their targeted 100 worldwide Spa Ceylon locations in 2018.

Founded in May 2009 by brothers Shiwantha Dias and Shalin Balasuriya, ‘Spa Ceylon’ has fast become a dynamic force in the global luxury wellness sector and has taken its luxury Ayurveda brand to the world, with a global presence of branded stores and spas situated in Ginza Tokyo, Japan; Melbourne, Australia; Singapore; Seoul and Ulsan in Korea; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Istanbul, Turkey; Mumbai, Chennai, Goa and Hyderabad in India; Karachi, Pakistan and across Sri Lanka. Spa Ceylon also operates in Kiev, Ukraine; Nicosia, Cyprus; and Maldives.
