A veteran action-film actor Alexander Fernando has passed away at the age of 80 while receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.

He has acted in more than 100 films including Ruhunu Kumari, Haralakshaya, Rajagedara Paraviyo and Surayangeth Suraya.
