Three mobile phones were recovered by the STF during a search operation at Boossa Prison yesterday where several high profile prisoners connected to the drug mafia and underworld are being detained.
It was reported that the mobile phones were found hidden inside the ceiling of the cell of Tharmaraja Susendran alias Susen.
The STF said search operation was carried out at three prison cells where the high profile prisoners are detained.
The STF also recovered four batteries, two chargers and 4 SIM cards.
Susendran is serving life imprisonment for possession of heroin.
Earlier, the STF also recovered two mobile phones including a smart phone from underworld figure Kanjipani Imran's cell where he is being detained at the Boossa Prison.(DSB)

The only solution are jammers. As long as the Prison Guards earn so little, they smuggle phones in. Or the criminals threaten the guards and their families.

Recruit foreign jailers as locals are feared to the threats made by Prisoners to them and their loved ones.Local jailers can do some other job in the Prison.
