The Colombo High Court today served an indictment on former DIG Anura Senanayake for allegedly fabricating and concealing evidence in the case of rugby player Thajudeen’s murder.
Subsequently, High Court Judge Vikum Kaluarachchi released the accused on a cash bail of Rs. 1 million and two sureties of Rs. 2 million each.
The Court also directed to fingerprint the accused and a travel ban was also imposed.
The Court has fixed the trial on October 23, 24 and November 7, 8, and 15, 2019. (Shehan Chamika Silva)
