A tense situation prevailed at the Fort Railway station this evening after commuters started showing their agitation to the railway authorities who were engaged in a work-to-rule campaign.
Ticket counters were closed as a result of the trade union action resulting in passengers venting their anger towards the authorities.
The Locomotive Engine Operators' Union (LEOU) yesterday decided to launch a work-to-rule campaign from last night over allegations that they are not adhering to speed limits set out by the Railway Department.
