While making a public apology for the shortcomings in not being able to prevent Easter Sunday attacks, New Democratic Front (NDF) presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa today said he will not make any changes to the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) at any point.
Speaking at an election rally in Negombo, Mr Premadsa said he would not listen to anyone and make adverse changes to laws which compact terrorism.
“I did not agree to any conditions when accepting the candidacy and I am not a person who would agree to conditions by anyone,” he said.
Also, he pledged to re-look at all international treaties which Sri Lanka had got into and said he hoped to get into and make changes to them after discussing with the relevant countries. (Yohan Perera)

Why now? Were you as a cabinet minister sleeping when all these events took place. You should have all the information regarding these treaties because you as a cabinet minister approved them.
