UPFA MP S.B. Dissanayake addressing a press conference called on the President to immediately recall Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Geneva A.L.A. Azeez and to arrest Mano Tittawela for directing him to put the signature on the UNHRC resolution without the knowledge of the President, the Foreign Ministry and the Parliament.

“At the UNHRC we signed the resolution to consider Sri Lanka again in two years.  Who gave the directive to the ambassador to sign it? It is Mano Tittawela. He works with Madame Chandrika.  In addition, he works as an advisor to Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera. The Foreign Minister does not know about this. The President does not know about this and the parliament does not know about this. Therefore, I like to tell the President to immediately recall the Ambassador to Sri Lanka and sack him and punish him.  Immediately arrest Mano Tittawela. He does not have any right to ask the Ambassador to sign the document,” he said.

Look who's back. The mastermind of the coup

    Unchikun Friday, 29 March 2019 09:50 AM

What a fool SB is. The ambassador is a representative of the government of Sri Lanka and not the president. If the president has to give each and every order, we can get rid of the parliament and then it is called a dictatorship. The proves my suspicion, "most coming out from Sri Lanka universities are mutts".

Unchickun dont become a funchekun. All Ambassadors are appointed by the President since he is the representative of the head of state.

President is the Head of State. Any critical issue such as this has to be with his consent only.

Dear Chari, This president only know news from reading Papers, that too Sinhala papers, so since the papers got to know now only he got to know

SB must have the same mental disorders like MS. But the criminal ambassador to Qatar A.S.P.Liyanage must be recalled immediately.

Even in USA for any resolution ithas to get ratfide from senate to get it implimented according to costitution.

Decision on an important matter such as this should have been done only with a directive given by the President. This government which has ceased the right to rule the country after collapse of the coalition has made the President only a puppet thanks to the 19th amendment.

    Azeez, Oya Enavada?

    Lion Friday, 29 March 2019 03:14 PM

Ha, ha... your boss's ambassadors to USA and Russia are on the run.

    Somaratne S Saturday, 30 March 2019 03:58 PM

What is there to ask him ? The President is always on tours at public expense with the opposition MPs. After the failed coup he has lost his dignity ....
