Minister Ravi Karunanayake's daughter Onella Karunanayake, today appeared before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to give a statement over allegedly providing false evidence before the presidential commission of inquiry into the bond scam.
On May 31, Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne ordered the CID to file a case against Minister Karunanayake’s daughter Onella, if it was evident that she had voluntarily neglected to follow the court order in which she was directed to submit to the CID, relevant documents including the director board reports of Global Transportation and Logistics, a company which is said to be owned by the Karunanayake family.
