Ragging victim Pasindu Hirushan discharged from hospital

Pasindu Hirushan, who was undergoing treatment at the National Hospital, Colombo following a ragging incident in March, was recovered and discharged from the hospital.

The 20-year old Hirushan, was admitted to the ICU at the National Hospital, Colombo  after he was hit on the head by a tyre thrown at him by a group of senior students of the Sri Jayawardenepura University on March 5.

Several students of the Sri Jayawardenepura University including the main suspect were arrested over the incident.

    This kind of brutal ragging has been going on for many years. Why don't the authorities ban ragging altogether? Always action is taken after something disastrous happens!
