The police have requested the general public to handover any illegal swords and Kris knives in their possession to the nearest police station today or tomorrow, the Police Media Unit said today.
In the recent past, the law enforcement authorities seized a large number of swords and knives from various parts of the country.
Meanwhile, the police also requested the public not to park vehicles after 1 pm tomorrow near any schools in Colombo as special search operations are to be conducted in those areas.
