The old parliament building which houses the office of the Presidential Secretariat will be open for public viewing during the weekends, the Presidential Secretariat said.
The Neo-Baroque style building overlooking the Galle Face Green and the Colombo Port City can be viewed by the public from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays starting this weekend.
However, people are required to inform the Secretariat beforehand to make reservations, complete other necessary arrangements and then receive confirmation before arriving at the premises.
“It is necessary to inform beforehand to make security arrangements and allocate time slots for various groups of visitors,” a spokesperson said.
Inquires to visit can be made to the Office of the Director-General (Administration) via telephone No: 011 2 354 354 or fax 011 2 441 685.
The Presidential Secretariat said visitors would be allowed to take photos and that the admission would be free of charge. (Lahiru Pothmulla)

Please visit and pay tribute to fromer true politicians and leaders of this country. There was none in that who was questioned of immense wealth earned with their MP's salary and then said "nayaa gahawwaa" when they were questioned.
