Former Sri Lanka cricketer Mahela Jayawardene arrived at the Special Investigations Unit of Sports Ministry at Sugathadasa Stadium this morning to record a statement over the match-fixing allegations in the 2011 Cricket World Cup Final between India and Sri Lanka.
Earlier, former Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage alleged that 2011 ICC World Cup final match between India and Sri Lanka was fixed.

Mahela,it's heart braking to see all whats happening around,in this Political Circus in lieu of the up coming elections. There are Crooks to be Investigated and Interrogated among the so called people's representatives and their leaders,than our Cricketing Hero's who brought Fame and Glory to our Nation. This is total fabrication Slanderous to the reputation of our Greats,by these politicians, and likes of Bookie man who day dream for high positions to hold office in the game,who have No Credibility and Intergrity.
