Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa held discussions with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Temple Trees this morning on the economy of the country following the Easter Sunday terror attacks.
They also discussed the relief packages that the Government had announced to grant to several sectors including tourism sector and private bus drivers.
Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa told media that they did not talk any politics during the discussion but focused on as to how the country should recover in the aftermath of the terror attacks.
Several Opposition and Government MPs, including Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera, Harsha De Silva, Dinesh Gunawardena, Bandula Gunawardena and Central Bank Governor Dr Indrajit Coomaraswamy participated in the discussion. (Sheain Fernandopulle)
