The Colombo Commercial High Court today issued an interim order till May 28 preventing the functioning of new Director Board appointed to the Litro Gas Lanka by Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera.
Former Managing Director Muditha Peiris and four members of the Director Board had filed a petition stating that the Litro Gas Lanka was not a part of the Treasury and that Finance Minister had no authority to appoint a Director Board to it.
Considering the petition, Judge R. Gurusinghe issued the order and directed the new Director Board not to disrupt the activities of the former director board.
The petition will be taken again on May 28. (Manopriya Gunasekara)
