The Immigration and Emigration Department will re-open for the public on Monday (11) to provide services in terms of the provisions of Immigrants and Emigrants Act, except on Public holidays.
“In accordance with the instructions indicated in the Circular issued by the department, the Department will open for normal day-to-day activities in Government Offices during the period of Covid-19 pandemic,” the department said in a media release today.
It said: “The Department requested the general public who wish to receive services, must follow the health and other regulations taken from time to time in view of the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic.”
“Measures are taken to provide the services in accordance with the instructions and the methodology given until the resumption of duties as usual,” it said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
