Whenever a plane lands at Mattala, it is a big news.

This is electioneering, pure and simple trying to take people for fools by trying to promote this white elephant of an airport as anything other than... a white elephant before the election. Tell me the answer to one simple question - did any other airlines apart from two Sri Lankan flag bearer divert..surely if weather conditions were that bad more planes would have diverted or am I missing something here.
