The death toll from the Easter Sunday attack has risen to 254 after a youth who was injured in the attack succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday (11).
Archbishop of Colombo Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith in his sermon at the St. Anthony's Shrine in Kochchikade announced that a young man, identified as Suresh Fernando, who was injured in the bomb blast at the Katuwapitiya Church had died in hospital.
“It is sad to hear of people still dying as a result of the Easter Sunday carnage,” Cardinal Ranjith said. (Yohan Perera)
