The Government Doctors of the Kalutara District have commenced a token strike from noon today alleging that Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne was importing substandard medicine used by pregnant mothers and children, GMOA Assistant Secretary Dr Naveen de Soysa said.
He said that the Government Medical Officers Association’s Executive Committee would meet this evening to decide on further action on the matter.

We saw the news footage of the agitation by the supporters of Rajitha Senaratne. GMOA scum, be ready to get trashed from now on.

Crocodile tears by GMOA. They are not at all bothered about the poor patients. They are having a political agenda.
malij Monday, 24 June 2019 02:01 PM
You know, they are doing all this because of their love for the simple folks and nothing else.

Why do you all doctors from Kalutura hospital where pushing the poor patients into untold hardships ? If you do not like the minister , you can not change him as you like . He is the minister who has humanitarian sense than other ministers in this regard . Besides deciding the ruling is none of your work . If the medicine is substandard , minister is responsible.

Fire them and bring new doctors from India. Sri Lanka is like a bowling alley now - so many strikes.
Ram Monday, 24 June 2019 03:06 PM
Without shouting take the issue to court on fundamental rights provisions claiming that citizens must receive standard drugs and not sub standard drugs. You have some anger to settle with Rajitha and your credibility is lost now for baseless accusations.

GMOA is another political party,we see them in protests only, what they don’t understand is that they are being paid by the government to work for the people not for themselves . If they are working for people they would not strike.Idiots!!!
