The Telecommunication Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) said they had come to notice that illegal digital satellite television service (DTH service / Dish TV) providers are advertising unverified through social media platforms. They said that immediate actions had been taken to stop this illegal activity. The TRCSL also requested the people to be cautious when making payments for such illegal satellite television service providers. People can log on to the TRCSL official website (http://www.trc.gov.lk/direct-to-home-satellite-broadcasting-operators.html) to obtain information on authorised DTH service / Dish TV service providers. It seems to bother the great dictator when "illegal" satellite TV providers report the truth and thereby disrupt his propaganda, which is supposed to pave the way for unlimited power.

Yes good. But the same time they need to regulate legal TV channels. What they are broadcasting is full of rubbish and harmful to the society. Specially those imported low quality teledramas and their local copies are really destroying minds and creative thinking abilities of general public specially in children and teenagers. Home alone ladies are also addicted. Must ban them and authorities must carefully select what to telecast and should not allow media companies to spoil people’s minds.

It depends on the intelligence of the individual whether junk programs are harmful.
