Gamer.LK, creating history in
Sri Lanka, organized the first ever inter-university e-sports tournament in the country. The country’s multi-genre video gaming community event took place at the BMICH recently.
The two-day competition attracted 200 competitors from over 25 Universities/Higher Educational Institutions Island wide.
Dialog, Sri Lanka’s leading Telecommunications and broadband provider was the title sponsor of
the event.
APIIT secured the Dialog University eSports Championship 2016 trophy while the ‘Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare tournament’ was won by Tech Morphers, the team from General Sir John Kothalawala Defence University.
‘Organized Chaos’, the dynamic team from APIIT clinched first place in the ‘DOTA 2 tournament’.
Afdhal Muvaffik representing the Sri Lankan Aviation College won the FIFA 2016 category. AshwinUmasudhan from BMS won Mortal Kombat XL, Ryan Perera from ICBT won Project Cars and KasunHettige from CINEC won One More Run.
