Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure Minister Harin Fernando presenting an appointment letter to an employee in the presence of SLT Group Chairman Kumarasinghe Sirisena
Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the country’s telecom giant, has recruited 121 outsourced employees attached to its Human Capital Solutions (HCS) subsidiary to the permanent cadre of SLT.
These employees have received the necessary qualifications under the Staff Recruitment and Promotions Scheme (SRPS) of SLT adhering to the recruitment process and policy of SLT.
The appointment letters were presented to them at a special ceremony held at the SLT auditorium with the presence of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure Minister Harin Fernando and SLT Group Chairman Kumarasinghe Sirisena.
Speaking at the gathering held at SLT headquarters, Fernando stated, “It is a golden opportunity for those who have been recruited by the SLT parent company. Also, I personally believe the management of the company has shown their commitment to accept manpower staff following their recruitment procedures.”
Sirisena stated, “We are in the business of changing the lives of people of this country, by serving this country, serving our families and serving the citizens of this country. Nurturing an empowered workforce to deliver superior results lies at the core of our human resource strategy. In turn, we make every effort to make work rewarding, ensure fairness and foster equal opportunity and diversity.”
